Single Expansion Anchor
These anchors are made from a highly rust resistant alloy called ZAMAC. Single expansion anchors are deigned to be used in concrete, stone, block, or brick. They require a separately purchased machine threaded bolt or screw to fasten the desired item with the anchor. They’re made of a pre-assembled solid core surrounded by 2 shields. The core has a cone shape on one end and as the bolt or screw is tightened it pulls the core outward and against the shields, which then wedge against the base material.
These are not recommended for overhead use.
